Historical Association of Tobyhanna Township

The Historical Association of Tobyhanna Township normally does not meet in January, and although it normally is not open to the public, the historical organization Sullivan Trail Questers does meet.

So it was decided to bring the two groups together, with HATT’s lecture series resources and Quester’s scheduled meeting, for an open-to-the public program.

On Tuesday, January 13, the program “Early Education in Pennsylvania” was held at the Clymer Library, co-sponsored by these two groups. In attendance were 35 people, being Quester’s and HATT members, and the general public.

Janet Mishkin, adjunct professor of history at East Stroudsburg University and curator of Quiet Valley Living Farm, shared her in-depth knowledge of the subject.

A post-event news story covering the program, with more details, appeared in the Pocono Record.
